Time management

It doesn't matter what you do, what you did, or where you want to be. The ability to manage your time is a skill EVERYONE should master.


Lets say you're some poor schmuck.

You work in retail. You stack shelves.

You don't like it. In fact, you hate it.

Why? Because your customers don't see you as a person, and your managers don't either.

Because you're worked really hard, harder than anyone thinks, and paid very little.


Well, what do you do?


YOU GET OUT!


How you ask?

By managing your time, and working your ass off!


Look at what you do, look at what you want to do, and then decide on what you need to do.


Easier said than done?

Not really!

I love spread sheets. So much so, it was in my wife's vows.

You should learn to love them too.


Mark out your day, hour by hour. From midnight to midnight.

Plot in the things you have to do. e.g. Sleep, work, family time and exercise. Make sure to leave at least an hour for 'fun' each day. Those blank spaces? Well there's your time to shine!

Put in the time for your study, or your side hustle, or whatever it is that you want to work on. Put in as much time as you can afford to whilst remaining sane.


And then?

Then just put it into practice.

Set yourself goals... SMART goals. Check in with yourself, and constantly reassess yourself as and when you need to. Are you on schedule? Yes? If no, why not? what changes do you need to make?

Let me tell you from expirence, the first step is the hardest.

After that, it becomes a whole load easier.
