Looking forward to 2020

As 2019 comes to a close, no doubt a lot of you will be looking to the new year with fresh eyes, ready to take 2020 by storm.

The Idea of new years resolutions is a bit absurd. Waiting for a new calendar to decide to make change. There's no need. The body doesn't know what year it is. The brain does though. The brain needs to pick a moment for change.

The worst thing you can do is over reach

The worst thing you can do is over reach. Having big goals is awesome. The bigger the better. But be realistic. Having a goal of losing 20kg's is a big task, but definitely doable. Having a goal of losing 20kg's in January is ridicules. You can't do it, and you will almost definitely fail.

Set yourself realistic goals. Make them specific, challenging and measurable. To lose 20kg's (44lbs) in a year, its 1.6kg's (3.5lbs) a month. Challenging? Sure. Achievable? Definitely.

Aim for progress in 2020

If you take your goal, and break it down into small measurable steps, then nothing will be able to stop you.
