Blue Skies and Sandy beaches pt.2 and Alphabet Dating

So a couple of weeks ago I posted about a desire to go on a summer holiday, and a rant about not having the time. Ive got over that now.

Lets start at the beginning. When me and my woman went to Whitby for the weekend (I forget the reason, was it a birthday?) we heard about 'Alphabet Dating' on the radio. Alphabet dating is where you, and your significant other devide up the letters of the alphabet, and go on dates that begin with said letter. Its supposed to be a way of trying new activities, seeing new places and doing things you otherwise wouldnt think of doing. And although were only two letters in, it looks like its going to be a great idea.

The first date belonged to her, we went to an activity center (I slept the entire drive there) and partook in archery, shooting at targets and then at rubber animals (bamby took one right in the neck... I may have took it a little seriously) and that was fun. Niether of us had ever done archery before, although i have always wanted to, so it was something new for the two of us.

Right, thats all the information you need to know. All caught up? Good. Ill contunue then.

So this weekend I decided to do my letter... in case you cant figure that out, it was B. I had always wanted to take Emma to Burnsall, but the weather had always been shite. This weekend we got lucky. Set off drving in the sun, and even though it was a little late, managed to snag the ideal spot. On the left hand side of the field,

right on the river front. Its a beautiful spot.

Soon as we got there, we set off, walking the 2.5/3 miles to Grassington (where the show heart beat was filmed, remember this face coming in through your tele box?) Had a pint, a refreshing shandy, and then turned around and walked back.

Got back to the car, sun still shining, birds nowhere in sight (thank god) and that was that. had a lovly BBQ... with Beef burgers, and m&s Best sausages... and wait for it... Buns (are you starting to see a pattern? Good) Now i know im a fantastic cook, adn can make anything nice, but BBQ is still the best way of doing anything ever! if i could, id BBQ everything, from breakfast to dinner, and everything in between.

But what was the point of telling you all this? Oh yea. Sitting in the sun, enjoying a coldbox full of drinks and some food cooked in the best way possible, got me over my little sulk, and even if it was only for one day, i can now go to sleep at night thinking ive made the most of the british summer.
