The problem of too many ideas

So im currently working on a series im calling the stories of the wastes, or somehting to that effect anyways, and to begin with i had a mind teeming with wastes related stories, characters, locations and ideas in general. for months it was this way, and then literally over night the ideas vanished, and were replaced by more ideas, for different stories, and different characters, and different locations, for a completely different set of books, and then it happened again! More ideas, more stories, more books. the benefit to this latest idea, is that its basically the story of my own years traveling, with the addition of murderous vampires and psycotic witches
